Cupid's Undie Run 2013

For the second year in a row, Waxing the City chose to support the Cupid's Undie Run, a race where people bare it all to support the Children's Tumor Foundation in Minneapolis and Denver.

In an effort to raise more funds for the foundation, on February 9, we organized a "Rip for a Tip" session in both cities. Brave men sacrificed their body hair to raise money, and it was amazing!

We want to give a special shout-out to the two brave men who volunteered to wax their ENTIRE hairy (and we mean hairy) chests. Also, the heart-shaped chest waxes were just perfect for the occasion!

Cupids Undie Run is coming up Feb. 9!

We’re proud to announce that we are once again sponsoring the Cupid’s Undie Run in Denver on Feb. 9! This 1-mile-ish jog asks you to bare it all for a great cause and we will be doing the infamous ‘Tip for a Rip’ segment again this year to help raise money! We’ve also expanded our sponsorship to include the Minneapolis event this year as well!  For our Texas readers the closest Cupid Undie Run is in Austin.  We hope to see Dallas host this event next year…if so, we will be there with bells on!!!

So come out, bare it all and join the festivities after! You can register for the event here! Also, Waxing the City will be donating an additional $10 per person for any registered runners receiving a waxing service between now and Feb 9.   So make sure to get waxed before you bare your body for the run! Win Tickets to the South Pawcific!

Does your pet have style and personality? Do they have what it takes to be a model? Show us by posting a pictures of your pawific friend to the Waxing the City Facebook page! We encourage you to be as creative as your pawssible. 

The two photos that receive the most votes will each win a pair of tickets to Mutts & Models on May 12^th in Denver. 

Here are the details:

Post a photo of your pawtific friend on the Waxing the City Facebook page. All photos posted on the wall will be added to our “Getaway to the South Pawcific” photo album. The winning photo will be determined by the number of “likes” a photo receives in the album. Only likes on the photo in that album will be counted. 

The winners will each receive a pair of tickets to Mutts & Models on May 12^th in Denver. Winners must be able to pick up tickets at the event. Tell your friends and family to “like” us and vote for your picture in our “Getaway to the South Pawcific” photo album to win! Remember to tag yourself in the photo. 

How to enter: 

 1. Post a photo of your pet on the Waxing the City Facebook page. 

2. Get all your friends to “like” your photo in our “Getaway to the South Pawcific” photo album. 

How to vote:

 1. Become a fan of Waxing the City

2. Like a photo in the “Getaway to the South Pawcific” photo album

3. Voting begins on April 24, 2012 at 2:30pm and ends of May 8^, 2012 at 11:59pm. 

4. The winners will be announced on May 9, 2012.

When posting a photo it must be appropriate (no offensive or graphic nature).

You are allowed to enter only once, but you may vote for more than one entry. 

By submitting your photo to Waxing the City, you are consenting to the contest rules and giving Waxing the City permission to post your photo in promotional materials in Colorado such as Facebook, Twitter, store website, advertisements, etc.
