Waxing The City "Rule Book" For Getting Ready For Summer Vacations!

Are you getting ready for that big vacation and trying to get everything done last minute?  No doubt many of you have a to do list that includes, "make waxing appointment" and "go to tanning salon."  If this is the case, make sure that in all the hustle and bustle and packing and planning that you schedule those appointments carefully.  One of our clients told us we needed a "Rule Book" for summertime!  So, we decided to give you exactly that! 

Chapter One:

Swimming Suits and the KILLER GROW OUT PERIOD...

Okay, sounds like a scary movie title, but by far, the Number #1 Question we get during the summer months is…How do I keep up my waxing routine during the summer when I am spending most of my time at the pool, in my bathing suit as it relates to the 4 week grow out period? What do you recommend?

Although this is a tricky situation, keeping a consistent waxing routine is important (anybody who hasn’t understands the consequences!)  The goal is to keep that hair “conditioned” throughout the year.  We can recommend several options for you to consider.  We hope you can find an option that works best for you.

1)  Wax every 3 weeks. This timeframe is considered early for most people, but it is an option.  It won’t be the “perfect” wax, however it will remove a majority of the hair (but not all).  This routine for the bikini area during the summer months does work for many people.

2)  Tweeze or shave the outer part of the bikini line. We only recommend this option if hair doesn’t extend more than ½” from the bathing suite line.

3)  Use a bottom cover-up.  Many of our clients purchase cute boy short bottoms or similar version of a bathing suite to cover the area during the last week or two of the grow out period.
